on life and TV/movies...

your life is like your personal movie or TV show --- you are the main actor/actress and you may have a romantic interest, a lovable sidekick, a supportive best friend or family member, a reliable inner circle or maybe even a resident villain or two. you also have people who are one-time or recurring guest stars (some wanted, some not-so-wanted), and a lot of extras along the way.

for most of my life, i was wrapped up in scoping out the perfect leading man, establishing the "right" inner circle, laughing with the sidekicks, and trying to be a worthy bida of my personal movie.

it took me a while to realize that i am also a one-time/recurring guest star, a potential leading lady, and of course, an extra in countless other "movies".

now, i don't just want to be the perfect "protagonist" of my personal movie. i want to be a memorable and worthy potential leading lady, recurring/one-time guest, and inner circle member in someone else's chick flick/soap opera/documentary/insert-your-preferred-genre-here. who knows, i might start out as an "extra" or occasional guest in someone else's movie and we eventually become a permanent fixture in each other's lives... =)

here's to hoping our personal movies/TV shows will have the happy endings that we wish for! =)

2011!

i've been an absentee blogger lately. i wish i can just say that i was too busy having a life to update, but it was more a mix of living it up and being too tired and lazy during my downtime.

that said, i will try to update more often. at least four times a year, song lyrics not included =P

looking back on 2010, i guess what i've learned is that in life, you really do win some and lose some. just try to win the ones that matter and gain some perspective from the ones that don't.

it was a pretty good year though. it went by too fast, but i guess that's what happens when you're "living in the moment" most of the time ;)

i'm feeling extra hopeful for 2011. i hope it's gonna be a great year. happy new year!!! =)
